A Family-Owned Insulation Company Built on Honesty, Quality, and Real Construction Experience

NW Spray Foam and Insulation is a family-run insulation company based in North Idaho. We’ve been serving homeowners, builders, and property owners since 2015, and in 2020 we officially took over ownership and have been running the business ourselves ever since.
When you call our company, you’re not talking to a salesperson or a corporate office. You’re talking directly to the people who run the company and are responsible for the work. Jennifer handles quotes, scheduling, and communication, and Ryan is on job sites making sure everything is installed correctly.
We built this company around a simple idea: do honest work, use the right materials, and treat every customer the same, no matter the size of the job.
OUR STORY

How the Company Started

The business originally began in 2015 under a previous owner. Ryan was working temporarily for another company when the opportunity came up to take over the insulation business. It wasn’t part of some long-term plan. It was simply an opportunity that landed in front of us.
Ryan stepped in to run the company around 2017 or 2018, and about six months later Jennifer joined to take over the office side, quotes, and scheduling. After working in the business together and getting a feel for the industry, we decided to buy the company in 2020.
Since then, it’s been owner-operated and family-run. We’ve grown the company steadily, built a strong reputation with contractors and homeowners, and most of our work now comes from referrals and repeat clients.

A Veteran-Owned, Local, Family-Run Business

Our company is veteran-owned, and that matters to a lot of people in this area. It’s part of who we are and how we operate.
We’re not a franchise. We’re not a big corporate operation. We’re a local family running a local company.

That means:

The blue Northwest Spray Foam service truck and branded trailer are parked in the snow outside a modern barndominium-style building. The surrounding landscape, including the pine trees on the hillside, is covered in a fresh layer of snow.
The company's white trailer is parked on a gravel lot in front of a large, modern home under construction. The multi-level house has a stucco exterior and is set against a backdrop of a densely forested hill.

What We Stand For

Over the years, we’ve built the company around a few core principles.

We’re not traditional salespeople. If someone calls us and asks for something they don’t actually need, we’ll tell them.

We don’t believe in pushing the most expensive option just to increase the price. Our goal is to guide customers toward the right solution for their home or building.

Sometimes that means recommending a high-performance system. Other times it means telling someone they don’t need to spend the extra money.

Either way, we’ll be honest.

Quality Materials and Proper Installation

Insulation is not just about filling a cavity with material. The quality of the product and the way it’s installed makes a huge difference.

We use:

There are cheaper materials out there, and there are companies willing to use them. That’s not how we operate. We focus on products that perform well and last.

Education and Experience Matter

Spray foam is a chemical application. If it’s installed incorrectly, it can cause serious problems.

That’s why all of our installers are trained and certified. We invest in ongoing education so we stay up to date on:

Building codes

We’re often called in to inspect or fix insulation jobs done by other companies. Most of those issues come down to poor training or lack of experience.

Reliable Scheduling and Clear Communication

When we put you on the schedule, your spot is your spot. We don’t bump customers just because a bigger job comes along.

We believe that:

We also coordinate with other trades so our work doesn’t delay the rest of the project.

Clean, Professional Job Sites

One of the things customers compliment us on most is how clean and organized our job sites are.
Our goal is to leave the space ready for the next step in the project.
A spacious room in a new building features a high, vaulted ceiling with exposed wooden trusses. One wall is sheathed in plywood, while the far wall has spray foam insulation installed between the studs, showcasing a project mid-construction.
A technician in a full white protective suit stands on rolling scaffolding inside a metal building. They are applying spray foam insulation to the upper sections of the wall, with the application hose trailing down to the concrete floor.

Experience Across the Whole Construction Process

Ryan has been around construction most of his life. Because of that, we don’t just look at insulation in isolation. We look at the entire project.

Many times, we’ll notice issues that could cause problems for other trades, such as:

We’ll point those out early so they can be fixed before they become expensive mistakes.
This is one of the reasons many contractors prefer working with us. We think about the project as a whole, not just our part of it.

The Type of Projects We Work On

We handle a wide range of insulation projects, including:

A lot of our residential work involves multi-million-dollar homes where performance, comfort, and long-term efficiency are important.
We also work directly with homeowners who want to make their house more efficient or correct insulation problems.

Our Team

Right now, our company includes:

As the company grows, we’re expanding with additional crews, but we’re doing it carefully so we don’t sacrifice quality or service.

A Company Built on Referrals

Most of our work comes from:

That tells us we’re doing things the right way. We don’t rely on aggressive sales tactics or gimmicks. We rely on doing good work and treating people right.
